Taking a photo

• SHUTTER — the big brass button at the bottom. One press, one photo. There is no video.
• OPTIC / LIVE — OPTIC shows the plain scene and the look is a surprise when the print develops. LIVE shows the look in the viewfinder.
• Selfie — the camera icon in the top-left corner of the viewfinder.
• Zoom — pinch the viewfinder, or use the W · T rocker under it.
• Big viewfinder — double-tap the viewfinder, or tap the corner button.
• LOAD — develop a photo from your library with the current gear.

Changing gear

• GEAR (top right) flips the camera over to its front.
• Lens — swipe the big lens, or use the arrows beside it.
• Flash — tap the flash unit to cycle through bulb, strobe and colored gels.
• CAMERA — opens the camera bag. You can also tap the camera's name on the top plate.
• FILM — opens the film door. You can also tap the film window on the back.
• SHAKE — a random combo. On phones, shaking the phone does the same.
• CASE — changes the color of the camera body.

The cameras

Film rolls

• Every roll has 36 frames. The EXP counter and the film window show how many you have shot.
• Loading a different film always starts a fresh roll. At the end of a roll you load a new one.
• Expired 98 drifts to a different color on every frame.
• Digital cameras have no roll; the counter shows SD.

Dials and switches

• SPEED — shutter speed. Slow speeds are brighter and blur motion; fast speeds are darker and sharper.
• SINGLE / MULTI — double exposure: two presses, one photo.
• NOW / TIMER — a 5-second self-timer. Press the shutter again to cancel.
• 1× / 2× PRINT — print size. 2× gives a bigger, sharper file.
• OFF / DATE — an orange date stamp in the corner.
• FAVORITES — save a lens + film + flash combo and bring it back in one tap.

Your prints

• Tap the PRINTS stack to open the print box. Tap a print to share, download, re-develop it with other gear, or shoot again with the same combo.
• Instant prints from Minute develop slowly. Shake the phone or rub the print to speed them up.
• Prints are kept only on this device. Add Emulsa to your Home Screen (Share → Add to Home Screen) and use Export all now and then so nothing gets lost.
